wow I didn't realize it had been so long since I bloged. SORRY

we all are just now getting over a little bit of the flu, 24 hour or so I suppose. It's amazing how fast the kids bonced back, unlike Daddy and me. I don't have much to say so I'll just post some pictures. Enjoy!

funk better

The funk is better for now. Got to go the the Crossroads for brunch and took a nap when I got home. It's amazing what a little nap can do. I woke up ready to be a better mom; to sweeten up my babies since I purposely neglected then for the first 4 hours of the day. I rocked them both to sleep, hugged and kissed them a ton today. Just making the last post took a ton of weight off my shoulders. Thank you all for listening and your loving support and prayers.

Funk

I don't know whats wrong with me and I hope at least one person who reads this can relate; but i just don't want to do it anymore. This Mom stuff is the toughest job I've ever had. I don't know if its waking up every day with two kids in your bed, not to mention my bed's not the same as my husbands. and being woken up to cries, the sound of slurping juices and my hair getting pulled, just to roll out of bed and do almost everything all day for some one else and nothing for your self. Constantly being wanted, pleading to hold, constantly helping teaching and disciplining. I think I'm loosing it, I have no patience anymore, I have lost control of my house; and could care less how dirty it is; well I care but just can't find it in me to clean it. I am just now doing MY laundry, its been 3 weeks. The Kids gets done every week. I want to quit, to leave and not come back but know I could never do such a thing but it would be great to just have some me time, to be able to take a shower every day, to sleep through the night, even if it were just for a week. It's been over 2.5 years since I've had a good nights sleep. Pregnant to a baby that I nursed till I was pregnant again, and still nursing the baby. But how would that even make it better Dempsey still gets up in the night and I have no clue why he just gets up and crawls in bed with me. Elly is constantly getting up anywhere from 2 to 5 times a night mostly to nurse, I can't get her to eat at night so she'll sleep better.
I just feel like a horrible mom, I wish i didn't feel this way. I wish I was in love with my job; it's just so hard to keep pleading with your children, to keep going each day know that yet again you're not getting a shower or that the baby is going to bite me in the nipple again at her next feeding. Yes I know I should just stop nursing but any mom who has nursed knows how gratifying it is and I just don't want to quit till after a year. Elly does take a bottle now and doesn't nurse a lot mostly around bed time.
I know I should just be grateful both kids are perfectly healthy, mostly happy and beautiful. and they both love me very much but i just can't get a hold of things and it's taken its toll on me. I hope some one can relate. Sorry for venting...

packer game

We went to the Packers Lions Game a few weeks ago. The game was really close, I didn't have as much fun as I had hoped, Aaron did though. The kids went to Rick and Sue's for the weekend and Dempsey is still mad that we went to the game. " Me no want mommy and daddy go to foodtball game" and when we got home "me no like you go to foodtball game" and he is still talking about it. Elly did fine. Here are some pictures.

Here is Dempsey painting his first bird house. It was a gift from the Luke's for his 2nd birthday.

Dempsey wanted his tent up in his room so I agreed. He slept in it 3 nights.

an attempt

I know I should be better at posting, but I'm not. No excuses except laziness. So here's an attempt.
The children are doing Great. Elly is working really hard on crawling. She can get around so much faster doing the army crawl that being on all 4's is a little less effective. Dempsey is definitely in his "terrible 2's" through a fit every time he doesn't get his way. It's quiet tiring at times but we just let his cry it out; or in his words, "me cryin" and will stand there and cry for 5-10 minutes. Although he has his times he's a wonderful Big Brother and a very good boy. We have been potty training for the last 2 weeks and have only had a few accidents, most of them poops rather then pee. It sure is amazing to see how many diapers we were using, how much cheaper it is to potty train and why it couldn't have happened earlier.
I'll try to post pictures Sunday since we have a few events coming up. I'm going to wait to download the pictures then. 2 birthday parties and Elly was in a cute baby contest Thursday, won Most Dazzling Eyes.

This one is a little out of order but; this was our first night back form camping. It was about 7:30 and Dempsey just couldn't hold out any longer.

4th of July

We headed to the cabin on Church Pine for the 4th. It didn't goes as well as planned. Elly loved being outside all day but hated sleeping in the heat. Two out of the four night I drove home so that Elly would sleep. Aaron got to drunk and dehydrated one of the days and was basically worthless the rest of the weekend, and didn't feel like himself for a good week. On the good side, the weather was great! We swam everyday. We could hardly keep Dempsey out of the water. My cousin Jake and his wife Dawn and son Aadin came home to visit. It was great to see them again. And the highest point for David(Heathers Husband) were the fireworks. Everyone pitched in some money so that we could have a great fireworks show and we did. With about $900 of fireworks we had the best show on the lake. It was awesome!

Class Reunion

The last week of June, Amanda and I hosted our 10 year class reunion. I was quite worried about the turn out or if it would be any fun. Things went great. more people then those who had RSVP'ed, showed up. We had about 60 people; there was plenty of food and everyone had lots of fun. David and Aaron made some new friends and really enjoyed our classmate. Just a few pictures of the night.

I know I've been busy, and had time on the computer but just no time to post. I have been working on getting my 10 year class reunion together and I only have one helper, Amanda.

So I'll cut to the chase...

Elly is getting big, almost 5 moths old now. She's about 16lbs. 25 inches long and boy is she active. She is rolling everywhere!! If she wants something she'll roll and wiggle her way over to it. She is so much fun. She laughs like crazy and is almost always in a great mood, excepting the last few days. Elly has her first tooth and is working on number 2 and has the sniffles, so she's been a little cranky but still very tolerable.

Dempsey is a wild man. Going though his terrible 2's, but I can handle it most days; Dad on the other hand hates the constant wining. He is starting to enunciate his words better and is very talk, in the 90% for his height.

I have been working again, only on Fridays. The kids have been going to daycare while I'm at work, which is going well. Payton and Walker go to the same daycare so Dempsey is excited to go each week.

last few months...

I am sorry for not posting anything lately but it's just so hard to find the time, even now I should be in bed. So this will be short. Elly is getting bigger and bigger, rolling around the house and a perfect baby. Dempsey just had his 2nd birthday on the 20th. We had two parties which worked out ok but one is easier, even if the house would be packed. He got some great gifts. Thank you everyone. Today the kids went to there first day of Day Care!! It was only a half day but a good way to start. I will be working every friday and the kids will be in day care every friday, I'm kinda excited to be working but worry I wont be busy enough to make it work. We'll see.
