The ZOO!!

Today we went to the Como Zoo.
We started the day with breakfast at our house; french toast, eggs and bacon; then all set off for the zoo. Papa Jesse, Grandma Net, Aaron, Payton, Walker, Dempsey, and I all enjoyed the Como zoo. First we seen the monkeys, then the zebras, ostriches, giraffes, tiger, lions, buffalo, seals, and penguins. The kids got to rides some rides after the adults relaxed a little in an open area. I don't know if they had more fun on the rides or seeing the animals, but either way they had lots of fun and were very tired. On the way home we stopped at Chilli's for an early supper late lunch, where Jack Hienz bought us our meal. Thank you Jack:) Then home to rest by 5. It was a busy and tiring day. And Thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Waidelich.

Busy few weeks...

I know it been a while since I posted anything new but the last 2 weeks have been pretty busy. The week after the 4th we had Adam and Jessica's kids for the week. If you didn't see, we made the Baldwin paper. It said that all the kids were mine, oops.
The week was long but the kids enjoyed playing together and we had lost of fun.
Just after nap time
Come Friday, Grandma Renee drove over to pick up Demps for a sleep over. That evening I went to Jolene Stephens bacholaret party. We had a ton of fun. Went to about 6 bars and our last stop was the Cajun Club in Holten. For those of you who don't know its a strip joint. My first time a the strip club and what an experience... I don't think its the sort of place I'd like to go back to. I got 3 sets of boobies in my face and a lap dance. Seeing all the men sitting in the corners was just a little to creepy for me to handle, but we still had fun and it was an ok experience.
Saturday morning I had to work, then went home for a nice nap, then to Prior Lake to pick up Dempsey. We got home late and went right to bed. Sunday morning I took Demps over to Grandpa and Grandma Mckeever's to play, while I scrap booked and got a lot done.
Aaron left Friday afternoon with Brian to the Grandsburg Water Skips. I think he had fun, didn't have to much to talk about other then meeting Brian and Zep from the KQ morning show. He got home about 2 of 3 Sunday just before Grandpa and ma brought Demps home. We all took a nice nap and relaxed the rest of the evening.
Sad news came calling Sunday night. Mom called to inform me that Little Marvin (my moms baby brother) had passed away. He was only 39, soon to be 40 on August 1st. They are suspecting a heart attack. Little Marvin was quite the uncle, when I was young he used to live with us from time to time. Summers I was told. He taught me how to climb a tree and I remember a lot of foot races down the middle of the street. He was fast.
Tuesday came and Mom and all her sister and Grandma left for Texas. It was a sad way for my mom to spend her 49th birthday.
Dempsey had his first class of swimming lessons. It went well, he enjoyed the warm water of an inside pool, and he learned how to go under water.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Deric and Bailey (Mona's kids) came over while Eric was at work. We played Nintendo and with Deric's Transformer. They were great kids. Thursday Dempsey has class #2 of swimming lessons. It didn't go as smoothly as Tuesdays class.

After the kids left Friday we all rushed off to Jolene Stephens and Peter Henzler's wedding in New Richmond. It was beautiful, the receptions was great. Demps loved dancing and eating all the M&M's. Jolene looked amazing and I hope she enjoyed her special day.

All Brady's cousins
Saturday morning I had to work and we had Brady's 4th birthday party to go to. Aaron and Demps got a ride with Ryan and Missy and I showed up late. Really late since I locked my keys in the care and had to take Heathers car all the way to Baldwin and back. After the party we met up with Heather and Dave at the St. Criox county fair. Dempsey loved all the animals, but I think he enjoyed the pigs and sheep best since they were more his size. he got to ride a pony;Pepper. He makes a darn cute cowboy.
Riding Pepper
On a John Deere
And FINALLY today, Sunday, Demps and I went to the lake to practice our swimming and enjoy the sun. The water was a bit to cold but we still did the under water skill 3 times and he did much better then at the pool. I got a little sun and to visit with my Aunties. It was a great way to end a busy week.

4th of July Weekend

It was a nice weekend away excepting a few misshapes...
We went out to the cabin on Friday afternoon, then after getting all settled in Heather, Dempsey and I headed to Deer Park for the annual fireworks show which was good and Demps loved it, even waved at them. We got back to the cabin a little late to hear the amusing story of how Aaron started a table cloth on fire. Then Heather and Dave's dog got into, what we can only suspect was, an ant hill and his fave was completely swollen. Poor Dog. Then at about 2 Dempsey woke up screaming and wouldn't stop, which isn't like him. We then drove home at 3 in the morning, got up at 9 and drove back. Saturday was a much better day.
We all played all day, enjoyed the cold water and visiting with family. My cousin Jake came home to visit and we all got to meet Aadin for the first time.
Here are all the little kids playing with Grandma and the toys. Demps, grandma & Walker, Payton who seemed to be naked the entire weekend, Aadin and me

Aadin and Me

Saturday night was the big firework show. It was amazing. Even better then the show in Deer Park. The people on the lake went wild and everyone loved the show.
Sunday morning is always a favorite with the family with a big breakfast and a walk. We all at till we were stuffed and a few of us went for a walk to the Big lake store. It was hot so as soon as we were back everyone went swimming. Heather and I layed out on the raft and got real sun burnt, but it was worth it. After everyone was all sunned out we all headed back up top to get ready to go home. Uncle Mike popped a tape in the radio...IT was MICHEAL!! we all laughed, Heather Demps and I got up to dance. Who would have thought my son likes Micheal Jackson.
me and Demps Dancing to Micheal

After some dancing we all got ready to go and headed home. It was a wonderful weekend.

looking forward to the weekend

Before we know it it's the forth of July...
I can hardly wait for the weekend. We are headed up to the cabin on Church Pine, Thursday if its nice otherwise Friday, for a nice camping trip. Even though we have the camper, we have decided to tent it. Dempsey loved camping in the camper and now we'll find out if he likes camping in the tent. We are hoping the weather starts to look better so we can enjoy the water but if not we will enjoy the campfire and spending time with family.
I'll post pictures and updates when the weekend is over.
