4th of July Weekend

It was a nice weekend away excepting a few misshapes...
We went out to the cabin on Friday afternoon, then after getting all settled in Heather, Dempsey and I headed to Deer Park for the annual fireworks show which was good and Demps loved it, even waved at them. We got back to the cabin a little late to hear the amusing story of how Aaron started a table cloth on fire. Then Heather and Dave's dog got into, what we can only suspect was, an ant hill and his fave was completely swollen. Poor Dog. Then at about 2 Dempsey woke up screaming and wouldn't stop, which isn't like him. We then drove home at 3 in the morning, got up at 9 and drove back. Saturday was a much better day.
We all played all day, enjoyed the cold water and visiting with family. My cousin Jake came home to visit and we all got to meet Aadin for the first time.
Here are all the little kids playing with Grandma and the toys. Demps, grandma & Walker, Payton who seemed to be naked the entire weekend, Aadin and me

Aadin and Me

Saturday night was the big firework show. It was amazing. Even better then the show in Deer Park. The people on the lake went wild and everyone loved the show.
Sunday morning is always a favorite with the family with a big breakfast and a walk. We all at till we were stuffed and a few of us went for a walk to the Big lake store. It was hot so as soon as we were back everyone went swimming. Heather and I layed out on the raft and got real sun burnt, but it was worth it. After everyone was all sunned out we all headed back up top to get ready to go home. Uncle Mike popped a tape in the radio...IT was MICHEAL!! we all laughed, Heather Demps and I got up to dance. Who would have thought my son likes Micheal Jackson.

After some dancing we all got ready to go and headed home. It was a wonderful weekend.

looking forward to the weekend

Before we know it it's the forth of July...
I can hardly wait for the weekend. We are headed up to the cabin on Church Pine, Thursday if its nice otherwise Friday, for a nice camping trip. Even though we have the camper, we have decided to tent it. Dempsey loved camping in the camper and now we'll find out if he likes camping in the tent. We are hoping the weather starts to look better so we can enjoy the water but if not we will enjoy the campfire and spending time with family.
I'll post pictures and updates when the weekend is over.

Hot Days

Man the last 3 days have been hot! That hasn't stopped us though. Dempsey and Mommy went to the lake swimming on Monday and Tuesday. We picked up Keenan and Turner to come along. Dempsey thinks he likes the water but only when mom is holding him. He sure thought it was funny when the boys would swim under water and tickle his feet.
Today we just stayed home. I had a little to much sun yesterday; I don't think I drank enough water for as hot as it was. So we hung out inside most of the day, then later went out side where I finally put my last tomato plants in the ground. I'd been afraid to move them since they were doing so well in the pot I had them in, but now they look pretty spindly.
I don't have any pictures of Dempsey swimming so oh well.

birthday party

On sunday we had Reids 9th birthday party and boy what a nice day.
After eating, cake, icecream and opening presents; Adam got out the slip and slide!!
All the kids played in the water. They had lots of fun.

June Bug Days

We had a very bissy weekend. It was "June Bug Days" in Baldwin. On Friday night Grandpa and Grandma, along with Adam, Payton and Walker, and Heather and Dave; all went to ride on the rides. Dempsey LOVED the rides and cryied when he had to get off of them.
Then on Saturday afternoon, we went to the parade. It was a hot day and mommy go a little sunburnt. Dempsey started to get the hang of running out to get candy, but he mainly wanted to eat it. We then continued on to the fair grounds, where we to the peting zoo. The goats got a little close but he enjoyed the little chickens the most. Then Dempsey had to ride the little train that he loved the night before. In total he rode the train 5 or 6 times.

Dempsey finally figured out how to squirt the squirt bottle.
Finally a nice day:) We spent the day ot side playing and enjoying the sun; it sure was a nice change from the rainy weather we've been having. This weekend is "June Bug Days" we plan on hitting a few garage sales in the morning and some rides in the evening, maybe a brat or two for supper.

Today Dempsey got his 2nd hair cut and man does he look cute, and so much like my dad. He didn't do as well as his first cut but he did good and got a nice, yummy sucker as a reward.

Heres a before shot

and an after, with the sucker

and now the sucker mess. You can see he even ate some of the stick.
