an attempt

I know I should be better at posting, but I'm not. No excuses except laziness. So here's an attempt.
The children are doing Great. Elly is working really hard on crawling. She can get around so much faster doing the army crawl that being on all 4's is a little less effective. Dempsey is definitely in his "terrible 2's" through a fit every time he doesn't get his way. It's quiet tiring at times but we just let his cry it out; or in his words, "me cryin" and will stand there and cry for 5-10 minutes. Although he has his times he's a wonderful Big Brother and a very good boy. We have been potty training for the last 2 weeks and have only had a few accidents, most of them poops rather then pee. It sure is amazing to see how many diapers we were using, how much cheaper it is to potty train and why it couldn't have happened earlier.
I'll try to post pictures Sunday since we have a few events coming up. I'm going to wait to download the pictures then. 2 birthday parties and Elly was in a cute baby contest Thursday, won Most Dazzling Eyes.

This one is a little out of order but; this was our first night back form camping. It was about 7:30 and Dempsey just couldn't hold out any longer.

4th of July

We headed to the cabin on Church Pine for the 4th. It didn't goes as well as planned. Elly loved being outside all day but hated sleeping in the heat. Two out of the four night I drove home so that Elly would sleep. Aaron got to drunk and dehydrated one of the days and was basically worthless the rest of the weekend, and didn't feel like himself for a good week. On the good side, the weather was great! We swam everyday. We could hardly keep Dempsey out of the water. My cousin Jake and his wife Dawn and son Aadin came home to visit. It was great to see them again. And the highest point for David(Heathers Husband) were the fireworks. Everyone pitched in some money so that we could have a great fireworks show and we did. With about $900 of fireworks we had the best show on the lake. It was awesome!

Class Reunion

The last week of June, Amanda and I hosted our 10 year class reunion. I was quite worried about the turn out or if it would be any fun. Things went great. more people then those who had RSVP'ed, showed up. We had about 60 people; there was plenty of food and everyone had lots of fun. David and Aaron made some new friends and really enjoyed our classmate. Just a few pictures of the night.

I know I've been busy, and had time on the computer but just no time to post. I have been working on getting my 10 year class reunion together and I only have one helper, Amanda.

So I'll cut to the chase...

Elly is getting big, almost 5 moths old now. She's about 16lbs. 25 inches long and boy is she active. She is rolling everywhere!! If she wants something she'll roll and wiggle her way over to it. She is so much fun. She laughs like crazy and is almost always in a great mood, excepting the last few days. Elly has her first tooth and is working on number 2 and has the sniffles, so she's been a little cranky but still very tolerable.

Dempsey is a wild man. Going though his terrible 2's, but I can handle it most days; Dad on the other hand hates the constant wining. He is starting to enunciate his words better and is very talk, in the 90% for his height.

I have been working again, only on Fridays. The kids have been going to daycare while I'm at work, which is going well. Payton and Walker go to the same daycare so Dempsey is excited to go each week.

last few months...

I am sorry for not posting anything lately but it's just so hard to find the time, even now I should be in bed. So this will be short. Elly is getting bigger and bigger, rolling around the house and a perfect baby. Dempsey just had his 2nd birthday on the 20th. We had two parties which worked out ok but one is easier, even if the house would be packed. He got some great gifts. Thank you everyone. Today the kids went to there first day of Day Care!! It was only a half day but a good way to start. I will be working every friday and the kids will be in day care every friday, I'm kinda excited to be working but worry I wont be busy enough to make it work. We'll see.
